game development
the games SDK provides multiplayer sessions, player information and host controls for games running in sometimes chats.
client and server
each game has a client that renders the interface and server rules that validate actions, store private state and calculate scores. sometimes manages the multiplayer session, player access, network communication and game window, including its layout alongside a call.
supported languages
the games SDK runs TypeScript and JavaScript. choose either language in a code block; TypeScript is selected by default. Python and Java examples are available in the bot documentation for externally hosted bots. shell commands and JSON manifests keep their native format. every code block includes syntax highlighting, line numbers and a copy button.
project setup
the quickstart explains how to register a game, install the SDK and run the counter example locally. the first-change tutorial shows how to edit its rules and interface. the Wordle walkthrough covers a larger game that uses the same API.
examples
the Wordle source includes its client, server rules, styles and tests. the counter is a smaller example of shared state that does not use rounds or player previews.
